Persepolis

So far, I don't really like this book. It seems to be mostly about politics and religion. Either of which, when talked about, just kind of annoy me, and this has both.

However, I do like how easy it is to read this book. There are significantly fewer words on each page than a normal book, which means I can read it much faster.

Holden's drink with Carl Luce

The biggest part in this scene is when Luce tells Holden that he should see a psycoanalyst. I definitely agree with that. Holden is so messed up, and that could really help him out.

As for plot movement, I have yet to see any plot at all in this book, so there isn't much to say for the "plot" in this scene.

This scene probably helped with character development a lot. If Holden decides to go see the psycoanalyst it could really help him.

The motif in this scene is mainly sex. Holden keeps asking Luce about his sex life, and Luce keeps telling Holden to grow up.

The only question I'm left with after this scene is whether or not Holden is going to actually see the psycoanalyst. I doubt he will because that would make too much sense, but he still should.

third post

SO AFTER "READING" OVER HALF THE BOOK THIS WEEKEND, I'VE GROWN TO DISLIKE THIS BOOK MORE AND MORE. NOTHING IS HAPPENING. HOLDEN JUST KEEPS GOING AROUND DOING RANDOM THINGS LIKE GETTING DRUNK AND BEAT UP. I REALLY DON'T SEE WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT THIS BOOK. IT'S INCREADIBLY BORING. THERE'S NOTHING INTERESTING ABOUT LISTENING TO SOME KID RAMBLING ON ABOUT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT.

NO I'M NOT YELLING AT YOU, I JUST LIKE THE CAPSLOCK BUTTON.

second post

So far, Catcher in the Rye is just realy weird. While reading, I'm constantly thinking, "What the hell is this kid doing?" At one point he starts tap dancing while talking to his friend in the bathroom... wtf?

lolz

I'm an uber gamer and more of a nerd than you are. I love computers and video games. Next year I will be going to UW - Eau Claire and studying computer science.

I am the self-proclaimed president of the Mathletes. I've been a member since it started my sophomore year, and i've been the highest scorer on the team at most of the mathmeets.

I am also the president of Bike Club. I bike to school every day that it isn't raining or snowing. Yes, I do have my driver's license, but I don't like driving.

My favorite book(s) would probably be the Harry Potter series. They are the only books I've ever actually read.

That's about it, there isn't much else to say.
