Meh

That's about all I can say about Persepolis. It wasn't nearly as bad as I first thought it would be, but there was nothing amazing about it. Being a graphic novel made it pretty interesting, but that was only because it made it easier to read.

  1. i kind of feel the same. I really liked it at some points but had to skip through some parts because it would drag on. I did like the comic/graphic novel aspect of it.

  2. I think you guys are missing the point of this book. It was to show ones hardships as they grew up during a war inside her home country. I thought that this book did have a lot of kind of sad parts to it but it turned out pretty well. John, you are completely right with saying that the pictures enhanced the book

  3. Meh?? I think I have to disagree with you. I see where you're coming from, because the story did sort of trail off at the end, but there was definitely so much more to the book--cultural commentary, lessons learned the hard way, life lived good and bad, the list goes on. So yeah :)
